Weekly Service Charges Explained
For shippers who send packages daily, you now have the option to schedule a daily automatic pickup time with UPS and FedEx for a weekly service charge. No more loading up the truck and waiting in line to drop off your packages. You can enjoy the convenience of a UPS/FedEx driver showing up on your dock to pick up your packages. Packages are scanned and loaded onto the truck to be dropped off at the nearest facility.
This saves you time and money while your packages are in transit to the destination. Secondly, the charges are conveniently added to your weekly invoice. The pickup fee is less if your weekly billing total is more than $75.00.
UPS Weekly Service Charge
This fee covers a daily automatic scheduled pickup with no phone calls needed. A UPS driver will stop at your location once each business day as scheduled to pick up ground, air, and international shipments. This option is best suited to customers who ship every day and want the convenience of an automatic pickup time. A scheduled pickup offers the reliability and dependability of a pickup each business day at a pre-determined time. This service is available for all UPS services to and from UPS destinations. The service is available Monday through Friday, excluding UPS holidays. The weekly service fee will be applied based on your weekly invoice total.
Customers who have an air or international shipment after the UPS driver has made the scheduled pickup can request a UPS On-Call Pickup®. Daily Pickup customers receive one UPS On-Call Pickup per day at no extra charge for packages tendered at their usual pickup location. (Packages tendered at an alternate pickup location incur UPS On-Call Pickup fees.)
Weekly Service Charge for Scheduled Pickup Options
Daily Pickup:
- Weekly billing total: $0.00 – $74.99 –> Fee = $25.00
- Weekly billing total: $75.00 or more –> Fee = $12.50
Daily On-Route Pickup:
- Weekly billing total: $0.00 – $74.99 –> Fee = $23.00
- Weekly billing total: $75.00 or more –> Fee = $11.50
UPS Smart Pickup®:
- Weekly billing total is a flat charge/week –> Fee = $11.50
FedEx Ground Weekly Pickup Fee
FedEx Ground® may provide regular scheduled pickup service for an additional charge. The ground weekly pickup fee is assessed to the account number associated with the FedEx Ground regular scheduled pickup. The fee amount is determined using the account number’s previously invoiced combined weekly FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground, and FedEx SmartPost® charges. Account numbers assessed to the ground weekly pickup fee do not pay the ground on-call pickup charge.
U.S. Ground Service: $13.00 per week (invoiced weekly shipping charges of $75.00 or more)
International Ground Service: $26.00 per week (invoiced weekly shipping charges of less than $75.00)
